Terms of Use
Effective date:
These terms apply to the 12x year-planning app and this website, provided by Andrew Arrow. By using 12x or this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using them.
What 12x provides
12x helps you organize experiences by month and browse destination ideas. It is a planning tool. Adding an experience to your calendar does not reserve admission, book travel or accommodation, purchase tickets, or confirm that a destination will be available.
Planning is at the month level. You are responsible for arranging exact dates, bookings, transportation, and any other details of your visit.
Using the app
You may use 12x for lawful purposes and in accordance with the license that applies to your copy. Do not use this website or any associated service to interfere with its operation, gain unauthorized access, or infringe someone else’s rights.
For copies distributed through the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies unless a separate applicable license is provided. Apple’s App Store terms and usage rules also apply. These terms do not limit rights granted under any applicable open-source license.
Accounts and sign-in
You may plan as a guest without an account. If you choose Login / Create Account, a new email address creates an account and an existing email address signs in with its password. Use an email address you are entitled to use, keep your password and signed-in devices secure, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized account access.
Sessions stay signed in across app launches until you log out or the session is revoked. Log Out requires an internet connection and revokes the current device’s session; other devices remain signed in. Logging out or deleting the app does not delete your account or its server-stored events.
Guest plans and account synchronization
Guest plans save locally and can be edited offline. By signing in or creating an account, you authorize 12x to upload guest plans from all supported years into that account. An import preserves months already occupied in the account and skips events when their size has reached the annual limit, so some guest events may not be added.
Once signed in, the server’s account plan is the saved version used by your devices. The app refreshes it at sign-in, startup with a saved session, and return to the foreground. Creating, changing, or removing an account event requires a connection and confirmation from the server. If a save fails, review the error and retry; do not assume the change has been saved.
Edits or removals from another device can change the plan you see. A conflicting change may require a refresh and retry. An interrupted guest import may retry when you next sign in to the same account. Signing out returns to guest planning and does not copy account events into a guest plan.
Destination information and external links
Destination information is provided for general planning and may change or become outdated. Check directly with the destination for current opening hours, prices, reservations, accessibility, age requirements, seasonal availability, closures, and safety information before you travel.
Links open third-party websites that are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not operate those destinations or websites, and are not responsible for their content, availability, services, transactions, or cancellation policies.
Destination names, logos, and other third-party marks belong to their respective owners. Their inclusion identifies places you may wish to visit and does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
Your information and deletion requests
You remain responsible for your device, account access, and any backups you choose to maintain. Account synchronization is not a separate backup or version-history service, and changes or deletions can affect the plan on other devices. We do not guarantee recovery of guest plans or account events after loss, deletion, a failed update, or another interruption.
You can remove an experience through its month’s Remove event action. To request deletion of your account and associated information, email 12x@andrewarrow.dev; the current app has no in-app account-deletion control. We may need to verify that you control the account before acting.
For details about account information, server storage, retention, login sessions, optional location permission, and support correspondence, read our Privacy Policy.
Availability and updates
We may update the app, destination catalog, or website, and features and device compatibility may change. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular future feature, or support for every device or operating system version.
Warranties and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app, website, and destination information are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, reliability, or suitability for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Andrew Arrow is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app or website, including lost plans, missed bookings, or travel disruption. You remain responsible for your travel decisions and arrangements.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any consumer right, warranty, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Any mandatory protections that apply where you live remain in effect.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the app or website changes. Updates will appear on this page with a new effective date, and material changes will be communicated where required. If you disagree with revised terms, stop using the app and website.
